The lonely man finds himself surrounded by others with whom he cannot establish contact or to whose hostility he is exposed.”
This quote by Hannah Arendt sums it up beautifully!
Loneliness is more than a state of emotion. It is a perpetual war with yourself. You try to wrech yourself apart to sherds. You ask multiple questions to yourself like, “ Why me?” , “Why is this happening?” , “ I have nobody by my side!”.
But, wait a second. It can be the most productive time of your life.
How is this possible ?
Loneliness and solitude are the same thing seen through different lenses.
Change the lens of your life. Give time to yourself. Invest in yourself. Do what makes you happy. Eat what makes you salivate. Take good care of your health. Turn this “alone time” to “my time”.
Change loneliness into solitude.Change your life.
As I always say, “ Be that honey that attracts all the honeybees, eventually you will land up being a queen bee”.
To use the poem by Ella Wheeler Wilcox titled “Solitude”
Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they turn and go;
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad, and you lose them all
